Patient Service Representative (PSR) – Durable Medical Equipment (DME)

Are you passionate about helping patients and making a difference in their healthcare journey? Durable Medical Equipment, a Pivotal Health company, is seeking an energetic, patient-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our growing team.

In this role, you'll be a vital connection between patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and our delivery team, helping ensure patients receive the equipment they need with exceptional service and care. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in a physician's office, specialty practice, healthcare customer service, patient access, referrals, insurance authorizations, or durable medical equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide outstanding customer support to patients, caregivers, physicians, and healthcare partners via phone and email
  • Process and manage durable medical equipment (DME) orders accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and follow-up communications with patients and providers
  • Work closely with physician offices, hospitals, clinics, and insurance providers to obtain required documentation and authorizations
  • Verify insurance and assist with order requirements as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in company systems
  • Assist patients with questions regarding orders, deliveries, and equipment needs
  • Deliver a positive, compassionate experience during every customer interaction

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficient computer and data-entry skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Healthcare experience required
  • Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
  • Patient Service Representative (PSR)
  • Medical Receptionist
  • Medical Office Assistant
  • Patient Access Representative
  • Referral Coordinator
  • Insurance Authorization Specialist
  • Prior Authorization Representative
  • Healthcare Customer Service Representative
  • Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
  • Working knowledge of insurance verification, authorizations, referrals, patient scheduling, or medical office workflows preferred
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service
