
Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette. Verifies understanding of information received. Responds appropriately to customer requests
Schedules surgical cases and PAT appointments accurately.
Communicates schedule conflicts with all MD/office staff involved.
Prepares and delivers daily surgery schedule.
Responsible for turnover of rooms when on call. Demonstrates understanding and indications of cleaning solutions and required contact time.
Prepares stretchers / beds for postoperative transport.
Assists in transferring / positioning patients under direct supervision. Holds limbs for surgical prep under direct supervision of the RN when aseptic technique is not required.
Obtains necessary equipment and positioning supplies needed for cases and Assures all scheduled cases have complete case carts.
Checks, cleans and restocks surgical suites, sterile rooms and ancillary rooms. Returns equipment and supplies to appropriate location.
Checks and restocks blanket warmers and fluid warmers. Monitors and records temperatures for all refrigerators and fluid warmers in the department and reports problems.
Handles laboratory specimens correctly. Transports blood and other products from the lab to the OR suites.
Terminally disinfects ultrasound probe.
Responsible for on-call coverage.
High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
