Patient Placement Coordinator - Mississippi Med-Com - Full-Time/ Part-TimeTo coordinate the daily patient placement needs for all admissions and observation cases from all access points, including physicians’ offices, day surgery, the emergency department, radiology, labor and delivery, and other hospitals, and to complete related duties associated with patient placement and the pre-admission process.
Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation; knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation; knowledge of physician orders (PO), medical terminology, patient care charts, and medical histories; skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications; skill in preparing and maintaining patient records; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; and strong verbal and written communication skills.
