Job Description

PRN - covering hours 11a-9am Monday thru Thursday

Responsible for coordinating all consult, admission, transfer and/or pre-op activities. Additional duties may include (not limited to): ensure that the team and call schedules are coordinated and communicated to all appropriate parties; coordinate weekend assignments and admission order; answer patient call line assisting patients and families with post discharge needs; assign new business to appropriate teams from overnight business and add assigned teams in Cerner; calculate daily census.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program preferred.
• Prior experience working in an admitting, bed management, patient placement/throughput setting, including demographic and financial requirements of payers preferred.
• Requires the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with business partners.
• Requires strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of staff; including physicians, hospital administration, patients, and nursing staff in a professional manner.
