Job Category: Health CareAs the Patient Financial Coordinator you will work closely with the Patient Finance Manager to establish and monitor payment terms for all patients being admitted to the facility.

Essential Duties Include:
- Establishes payment terms for all patient accounts, adhering to approved guidelines.
- Provides Financial contracts to patient or financially responsible party for signature prior to or upon admission.
- Collects payment(s) prior to or upon admission in accordance with established payment terms.
- Maintains reports regarding Patient financial status.
- Responds timely and accurately to all incoming correspondence and inquiries from payers, patients, and other appropriate parties. Initiates contact with patients, as necessary.
- Initiates recommendations and action plans for resolving accounts.
- Elevates issues, as appropriate, to the Supervisor.
- Meets daily and weekly productivity standards.
- Supports Company core values, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to converse with others to give, take and process information in English; extensive use of telephone.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, multi-task, coordinate projects and record/transcribe general and specific meeting minutes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Communicates with other staff, relaying concerns and observations related to patient safety.

QualificationsEducation and

Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years work experience in Patient Accounts or Finance area.
- Knowledge of Managed care processes.
