
Governance Specialist | Cambridge | £13,200 per annum for 15 hours/wk | Permanent | Excellent Benefits
Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital is seeking a dedicated Governance Specialist to join our Governance team on a permanent basis (15 hours per week) Monday + 1 other weekday. 7.5 hr, some flexibility to start time 8/9am.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical departments, collaborating closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement in patient safety and care quality.
Please note that this CAN be done in conjunction with another role in the hospital and does not specifically require a clinical background, although this will be helpful.
Duties and responsibilities:
To lead on the PSIRF framework to thoroughly investigate and take action relating to patient safety incidents (including mortality).
To lead on the duty of candour activity of the hospital including notifying all appropriate bodies including CQC
The post holder must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence change. Must also be able to interrogate data and turn into meaningful actions to deliver positive change.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that there is a focus on the delivery of person centre approach to the resolution of reviews, promoting patient involvement and using all patient and carer/ family feedback to improve practice, processes and experience.
The post holder needs to be proactive in dealing with issues without instruction as appropriate, be a self-starter.
