ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Patient Escort Supervisor to provide day-to-day operational leadership for Patient Escort Services while overseeing
Environmental Services Leads at our 1,000 plus -bed Newark Campus. Reporting to the Manager of Support Services, you’ll help ensure the safe, timely movement of patients, support efficient hospital throughput, and contribute to an exceptional patient experience across one of the region’s busiest healthcare environments.
This highly visible leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, making sound operational decisions, taking initiative, and building strong partnerships across clinical and support service teams.
What You’ll Do
Provide day-to-day operational leadership for Patient Escort Services and Environmental Services Leads.
Coordinate patient transport operations to support safe, timely patient movement and efficient clinical workflows.
Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop frontline team members while fostering accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
Monitor staffing levels, prioritize assignments, and adjust resources to meet changing patient volumes and operational needs.
Partner with nursing, Environmental Services, and other clinical departments to ensure seamless daily operations and outstanding customer service.
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Support employee performance through coaching, recognition, and performance management.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two years of experience in patient transport, environmental services, hospital support services, or related healthcare operations.
Preferred
Previous leadership experience as an Environmental Services Lead, Patient Escort Lead, Team Lead, Charge Leader, Supervisor, or similar frontline leadership role.
Experience in a large, high-volume acute care hospital.
Experience supervising or coordinating frontline healthcare support staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, workflow, patient throughput, and competing operational priorities.
Experience using electronic patient tracking or hospital information systems.

Hourly Pay Range: $22.29 - $33.44This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
