You will also find a culture that encourages professional growth, educationaldevelopment,and career success.With this being a CCFSR role, you will cycle between Martin North, MartinSouthand Tradition Hospitals, allowing you to work with diverse populations acrossnumerousunits, departments and locations while learning from many of our best caregivers.

A caregiver in this position worksvarying shiftsdaysfrom 6:00AM – 6:30PMor6:00PM – 6:30AM.Floating between Martin North, Martin South and Tradition Hospitals will berequired, as needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Assistwith direct and indirect patient care for one to two patients, such as rooming, vital signs,weightand pulse oximetry. If assigned to a closed unit, you willobservethree to four patients.

• Assure patient safety by ensuring that catheters,tubesor other medical equipment have not been removed or disconnected.

• Accompany and assist patients at all times, including transport, tests,transfersandambulation

• Collect patient specimens for laboratory testing.

• Identifyand report changes in patient status to an RN or physician.

• Follow protocols and initiate CPR and other emergency measures asrequired

• Complete all documentation and provide hand-off communication to caregivers responsible for the patient.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diplomaor GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross for healthcare providers upon or within the three months of hire

• Completion of ahospital-basedpatient companion training program or equivalent experience OR currently enrolled at an accredited school of Nursing, with completion of a Nursing Fundamentals Course OR have completedhospital-basedNA/PC orientation or equivalent

• Knowledge and understanding of basic patient care activities, such as basic hygiene, skincareand vital signs

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Previousexperience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
