As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Cardiac Renal Unit (CRU), you'll be an important part of a compassionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with a variety of medical needs.

What You'll Do

Working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll provide hands-on care and support that helps patients feel comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout their stay. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients with daily personal care needs such as bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
  • Supporting patient mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs and patient observations
  • Recording important information in patient charts to support quality care
  • Providing compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families during challenging times

Located on the 5th floor of the Gateway Campus, the Cardiac Renal Unit (CRU) is a 32-bed unit featuring all private patient rooms. Our diverse patient population includes medical-surgical, cardiac, and renal patients, creating a dynamic environment where team members gain broad clinical exposure and experience.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
