DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in outpatient dialysis clinics located in the greater Fort Wayne, IN area.

As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

This PCT will float to surrounding clinics located in the greater Fort Wayne area, within the first year, after training is complete and the Teammate shows proficiency in the dialysis process.

  • Promotion & compensation increase within the first year of employment.
  • Paid mileage to commute to clinics outside of home clinic based in East Fort Wayne.

Schedule Requirements

  • Not flexible: All Teammates are required to work M-Sa, 4-3 shifts / week, rotating opening & closing shifts, working every other Saturday.
  • Operating Hours Range: 5:00A - 10:00P Monday - Saturday
  • Scheduled Shift Start & End Hours: 4:00A start - 11:00P close
  • Shift Length: All shifts are 8, 10, or 12hrs depending on the day and the need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
  • Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
  • Record vital signs and patient data
  • Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

  • Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
  • Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Physically able to work long shifts on your feet and lift min 50lbs
  • Willing to float between local clinics when scheduled
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
  • Pass a background & drug test
  • Reliable transportation to confirm shift attendance and mitigate calling off per transportation or weather
