Job Description

USPI Texas Orthopedics Surgery Center in Austin is seeking a motivated Full-Time Patient Care Tech to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary: The Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.
  • Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.
