Akron General’s 2100 Clinical Decision Unit is a fast-paced unit with a high patient turnover rate (less than 24 hours) located on the hospital’s cardiac telemetry floor. This fast-paced Acute Care Medical Unit sees patients with a wide range of medical diagnoses, from general pain to complex issues involving various body systems. As a Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) on the team, you play an integral role in ensuring patients continue receiving the best treatment possible through assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). This is a hands-on role that requires a present, attentive and patient caregiver who is willing to learn new medical technologies and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Here, you will find a welcoming and hands-on environment where caregivers encourage education, mutual support and teamwork. Each day, you have numerous opportunities to make a difference in your community.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM or 11:00PM – 7:30AM, including every other weekend and 3 holidays per year.
