Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Receptionist / Rutherford, NJ

Contract Position | Full-Time

Our healthcare client is seeking a professional and dependable Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Receptionist to support a busy Internal Medicine practice in Rutherford, New Jersey. This role is ideal for candidates with medical front desk experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced patient care environment.

Position Details

• Location: Rutherford, NJ 07070
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shift Options: Rotating shifts between:
  • 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Two weekends per month
• Contract Type: 6 - Month Contract
• Dress Code: Navy Scrubs
• Interview Process: In-person interview

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients
• Perform patient check-out procedures
• Answer and route incoming phone calls
• Manage incoming faxes and documentation
• Maintain and monitor Epic in-baskets
• Schedule appointments and update patient information
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
• Support daily front office operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous medical front desk or healthcare reception experience preferred
• Experience working with Epic EMR is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment
• Professional demeanor and reliable attendance

Preferred Experience

• Medical receptionist or patient registration experience
• Internal medicine or outpatient clinic experience
• Familiarity with insurance verification and scheduling systems
