SCOPE: The Patient Financial Assistance Program Advocate is responsible for helping patients navigate financial assistance programs to reduce financial barriers to care. This role serves as a liaison between patients, providers, internal departments, and external assistance programs to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant access to financial support. The Advocate plays a critical role in patient satisfaction, financial clearance, and organizational mission fulfillment
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in healthcare financial services, patient access, billing, or related field
Knowledge of insurance types (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) and healthcare revenue cycle processes
Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, as well as professional and outpatient billing processes
Experience with oncology or healthcare systems such as Candid, AssistPoint, OncoEMR, and MOSAIQ preferred; training provided as needed.
