Patient Accounts Representative FCH
Responsible for assisting patients in settling their account, explaining charges, collecting outstanding balances, and answering related questions. also receives and processes accounts receivables and balances cash.. Prepares bank deposits and posts payments to accounts.

Responsibilities
Assists other hospital staff as needed with any Revenue Cycle questions., Assists patients with billing questions. Responds appropriately to payer and patient correspondence and requests., Coordinates documentation for Medicare bad debt log as delegated to., Follows up on unpaid claims in a timely manner utilizing ATB and other tools/resources., Identify credit status accounts and accurately prepares refunds when appropriate., Monitors accounts to inquire about unpaid claims and prevent denials for untimely filing., Resolves billing issues. Review, edit and make needed corrections in billing system. Submits adjustments as necessary., Resolves Medicare credit balances prior to the quarterly credit balance reporting each quarter., Resolves returned and rejected claims identified in the payers unique claim adjudication system daily., Review and status claims daily utilizing clearing house vendor electronic billing system., Submits claims daily adhering to the hospital established 3-day bill hold., Submits requests for payer/insurance or provider information that needs updated in information system tables
