What You Will Do
The Patient Account Cashier will perform duties that of a cashier in the Hospital Business Office.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• The Cashier works closely with the billing, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.

• Receives and disburses money for services.

• Operates cash registers and ensures accurate and efficient accounts of all transactions.

• In retail setting, assists with the receiving, unpacking, stocking, displaying, pricing, and sales of merchandise.

• Maintains clean and organized checkout area.

What You Will Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 0-2 years of prior relevant experience ​

What Would Be Nice to Have

• Healthcare experience in billing, revenue cycle, or medical cash posting

• Knowledge of EOBs and ERAs

• Data entry experience

• Strong attention to details

• Ability to handle high volumes of transactions efficiently

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Previous experience with STAR / Waystar / Phreesia / EPIC
