Highlights:

The Supervisor, Patient Access shall be responsible to oversee the reception and registration operations at their respective facility. The Supervisor will assist the leader to work with the service line personnel, office staff, and leadership to promote accurate and efficient registration services. Additionally, the Supervisor will assist leadership in efforts to motivate staff to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, and to meet the organizational and departmental goals for customer service and financial performance. The Supervisor is responsible to maintain appropriate staffing level, train staff, provide assistance with patient issues, and maintain patient flow within the Registration area. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education/Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical registration or collections experience preferred. Supervisor experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a customer service background preferred.

License/Certification

None


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.

  • Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.

  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to develop trust with leaders in the organizations.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.

  • Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
