Supervise, monitor and train employees in the operation of inpatient admissions and outpatient registrations. Assists in evaluating the performance of staff members. Directs and assists employees; assists Director in analyzing, evaluating and developing procedures in Admissions, Registrations and census statistics. Works under general direction of Corporate Director of FCC/Patient Access.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Verbal communication skills required to conduct continuing education courses, explain and direct the work of subordinates, counsel employees on performance issues and gather and exchange information with other hospital staff members.
Written communication skills required to prepare presentation materials, and document work and employee issues.
Requires thorough knowledge of medical terminology, automated admissions and third party payor regulations and requirements Efficient in use of PC’s (Microsoft Office Applications).
Preferred
Two years of college in public administration, health care administration, or a related field.
Two years of work experience in admitting or a related hospital or health service agency function preferred.
