Patient Access Representative in a centralized environment is involved in direct patient and staff contact via a telecommunications center. Duties include call sorting, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting other staff members. Responsible for understanding all scheduling procedures within scope of service and concisely documenting patient requests and information. All interactions are handled in a friendly, helpful and professional manner that reflects the caring positive image and exhibits the core values of Door County Medical Center.
Related Years of Experience: One year experience in a clinical healthcare setting and/or six months reception experience in a health care setting are preferred. Additional related education may be substituted for work experience.
Shift- Working 32 hours a week, Monday – Friday.
