
The Admitting Registrar is responsible for obtaining demographic information and verification of eligibility, benefits and pre-cert requirements for all inpatients along with Behavioral Health patients attending the partial or IOP program. The Admitting Registrar provides insurance information to Registration management for review on a daily basis. This Registrar is responsible for making sure all necessary documents are signed at time of admission and all documents placed on the medical chart. Responsible for making judge-mental decisions concerning accounts in order to secure payment arrangements. Coordinates information to the Case Management Department to ensure pre-certification is obtained
Education preferred: High school diploma or GED
Experience: One year registration experience preferred; experience within a healthcare facility an asset. Experience with personal computer applications or data input terminals required; must be able to utilize a calculator and type 35 words per minute.
