Job Description

The Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) serves as a point of contact for all patients—whether by phone or in-person—and plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience. This position is primarily based at the Madisonville location but could be asked to spend a day at one of our satellite clinics.

This role blends the responsibilities of front desk reception, scheduling, and call triage. The PAC is responsible for greeting patients and guests, helping to manage incoming and outgoing communications, as well as scheduling patient appointments

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced medical environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Call Handling & Scheduling:

  • Respond to calls with the standard greeting (Clinic name; your name); answer within 3 rings.
  • Listen to caller needs and respond appropriately.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
  • Manage incoming appointment requests from patients and referring providers per clinic guidelines.
  • Coordinate closely with clinical staff to ensure optimal scheduling and reduce waiting times.
