10 Gove Street – Taylor Building, 20 Maverick Square – Cradock BuildingNeighborHealth is seeking a Behavioral Health Patient Access Coordinator with expertise in patient registration, preferably in a school-based setting.

The position performs a wide variety of clerical and reception activities that support registration efforts for Behavioral Health services. Time is split between a school-based setting and central registration workspaces. The PAC reports to the Patient Access Manager and works together with the registration staff to promote a positive atmosphere that enhances efficient workflow through good teamwork.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Check – in / check – out.
  • Verify Insurances
  • Collect accurate demographics.
  • Document Collection
  • Schedule Appointments
  • Assist patients/families needing help in obtaining/renewing insurance coverage.

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Vocational/technical training specific to medical office preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in health care, preferably in a Behavioral Health or School-Based setting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse teams.
  • Computer skills including familiarity in a Windows environment. Epic experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills required (English/Spanish)
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This position operates in a school/professional office and clinic environment.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing administrative and computer-based tasks.
  • Occasionally required to lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds (such as files, office supplies, or small equipment).
  • Must have adequate visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform essential job functions.
  • May occasionally move between clinic and administrative areas and be exposed to a typical clinical setting.
  • Expected to follow all NeighborHealth and OSHA safety policies and procedures, including maintaining a safe and ergonomic work environment.

Salary: Starting at $20/hr up to $27/hr based on relevant experience
