Do you enjoy helping others and creating exceptional first impressions? Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Patient Access Coordinator to join our Primary Care team in the LaGrange area.

As a Patient Access Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or call our office. What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.

  • Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.

  • Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.

  • Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and compassion.

  • Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment expectations and available payment options.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.

  • Utilize patient access and registration software to support efficient office operations.

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.

  • Complete ongoing education and training requirements.

  • Support the team by performing additional administrative duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Strong computer and data entry skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • A positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
