Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a “Pathobiology Specialist/Research Associate III” based in Foster City, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $57/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K We are seeking a Senior Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in immunohistochemistry (IHC), histology, and tissue-based assay development to support drug discovery and preclinical research programs. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and validate IHC and CISH assays and antibody reagents. Perform and troubleshoot IHC/histology assays using human and animal tissues. Develop tissue-based endpoints to support drug discovery, target identification, and validation . Plan and independently execute experiments, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and provide scientific recommendations. Identify and implement improvements to IHC/histology workflows, technologies, and throughput . Collaborate with internal research teams, CROs, and external partners. Present scientific findings and recommendations to cross-functional and senior leadership teams. Required Qualifications BS or MS with relevant experience. Strong hands-on experience with IHC, histology, tissue handling, and assay/method development . Experience with antibody optimization/validation and assay troubleshooting . Demonstrated experience supporting drug discovery, preclinical research, or target validation . Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience with CISH, multiplex IHC, oncology, fibrosis, inflammation, or virology . Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or translational research experience.
