THE JOB:

As a Pastry Cook at The Corner Store, you'll help bring one of New York City's most celebrated dining concepts to the Las Vegas Strip. Combining passion, creativity, and precision, you'll craft exceptional desserts that elevate every guest's dining experience. From executing beautifully presented pastries and desserts to maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency, you'll play an integral role in creating memorable WOW moments while contributing to the success of this exciting new culinary destination.

THE STARTING RATE:$ 23.8507/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Follow the methods of food preparation, baking method and techniques to properly prepare and serve desserts as instructed by the Chef

• Set-up and operate the workstation based on pars established by the Chef and follow station set-up organization

• Ensure food is stored and kept at proper holding temperatures through the use and reading of thermometers

• List the preparations that should be completed for each day the night before

• Monitor consistency of quality, presentation and flavor of each dish

• Assemble recipes without assistance

• Communicate problems to the Sous Chef

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the work area, utensils and equipment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• 2+ years of pastry experience in a professional pastry department preferred.

• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant, resort, or luxury hospitality setting is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert preparation, baking, and presentation.

• Passion for creating high-quality pastries and desserts with consistency and attention to detail.

• Flexible and available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
