Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing, artisanal bakery known for its high-quality standards and modern atmosphere. The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France to the DMV area. We have expanded to nine retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year.

Our obsession with quality is part of the passion here at Fresh Baguette. Take, for example, the process of making our signature baguettes: a cold-dough process that produces unique flavors, homemade “levain”, and made using state-of-the-art equipment imported from France. The end result is a baguette that is authentic with moisture and just the right crunch. In addition, it takes two days, 11 steps, carefully selected ingredients, and the skill of a pastry chef to make our soft and flaky, mouthwateringly tender croissant.

About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pastry Assistant to join our Pastry department at our Fresh Baguette Rockville production center, 804 Hungerford Dr, Rockville, MD 20850. The Pastry Assistant's role is to support the Pastry Chefs in their daily operations. As a Pastry Assistant, you will be responsible for creating, preparing, producing and baking all pastries and desserts for the bakery to deliver outstanding guest experiences and financial profitability. Products vary from éclairs, tarts, cannelé, mousses, ganache, meringues, and more.
Pay: $17.65 per hour
