NOR 1424
Required for September 2026

Fixed term, in the first instance, until 31 August 2027
37 hours per week x 46.784 total paid weeks
£28, 572 - £33, 326 per annum (subject to payrise)
(NB this salary will be proportionately reduced to reflect part/term time only working)

Redruth School is a successful school set in beautiful West Cornwall. We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Year Lead who is passionate, adaptable and enthusiastic about working with young people within an educational setting. In this role you will take a pro-active role in the support of the educational, social and physical needs of our students, developing positive working relationships with your cohort and their families.

Applicants will need:

• be qualified to ‘A’ level or equivalent
• have the ability to support a year team which consists of approximately 10 tutors and 300 students
• have experience of working with young people
• have experience of working with and referring to external agencies that support young people
• have awareness, or experience of working in a trauma informed way
• have excellent communication skills
• have self-motivation and a friendly manner
• have a high standard of computer literacy and excellent organisational skills
• to challenge and support young people to ensure they reach their potential both in terms of character and academic outcomes.
