This role is all about supporting our students' well-being, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and ready to succeed. You'll be the go-to person for safeguarding, attendance support, and providing guidance that empowers students to achieve their goals. Think of yourself as the person who helps turn potential into success!
🛡️ Lead on all safeguarding matters, making sure every student feels safe, supported, and listened to.
📋 Keep records up to date and stay in the know about safeguarding legislation and guidance.
🤝 Work with outside agencies to get students the help they need, when they need it most.
🙌 Encourage students to turn up, stay engaged, and get the most from their time with us.
📊 Track attendance, follow up on absences, and make sure students stay on track.
👨👩👧👦 Meet with parents/guardians to tackle attendance concerns head-on and find positive solutions.
🌟 Inspire students to aim high, believe in themselves, and achieve their dreams.
🧭 Signpost useful resources, career advice, and support services to keep students informed and empowered.
💬 Be a friendly and approachable source of advice, encouragement, and support.
🤝 Work with staff to make sure every student moves on to something positive — whether that’s further study, training , or a job.
📈 Help students identify their next steps and stay focused on their goals.
🎉 Keep in touch with students post-program to cheer them on as they smash their goals!
✔ Level 2 in English and Maths
✔ Solid knowledge of safeguarding legislation
✔ Experience working with 16-18-year-olds
✔Committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences and positive outcomes.
✔ Amazing communication skills (you'll be chatting with students, parents, and agencies).
✔ Brilliant organisation and planning skills.
✔ A positive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to think on your feet.
✔ The ability to handle challenging situations with patience and determination.
✔ Most importantly, a passion for motivating and inspiring young people.
✔ CEIAG Level 3/4 qualification
