About the Role

We are seeking a Pastoral Care Practitioner (Grade 1 or 2) to provide high-quality emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff.

Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will deliver meaningful, person-centred support that responds to diverse spiritual, cultural, and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist pastoral care across allocated wards in collaboration with clinical teams

  • Assess spiritual, emotional, and religious needs and tailor care accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within patient records.

  • Participate in an on-call weekend roster

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in pastoral, spiritual and bereavement care in a healthcare or similar setting

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams

  • Commitment to person-centred, culturally safe, inclusive care

  • At least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (essential)

  • Relevant qualifications in theology, pastoral care, or a related field (desirable)
