Job Location: 0026 St. Mark Parish, Shoreline - Shoreline, WA 98155,

Position Type: Full Time,

Salary Range: $51,063.00 - $83,806.00 Salary/year, Overview

The PA for Communications & Advancement supports the mission of our Parish Family by ensuring clear,

timely, consistent, and effective internal and external communication. This role works collaboratively with the

Pastor, Director of Operations (DOO), School, staff, councils, and ministries to promote a unified consistent

message across all platforms and strengthen parishioner engagement.

Internal Communications

  • Compile and distribute notes from all councils and commissions to Parish Family Staff and

appropriate employees.

  • Communicate key decisions and conversations to relevant internal groups.
  • Create and implement parish family communication and information sharing processes and tools.
  • Maintain ParishStaq CRM database and assist with integration toward a shared Parish Family

database.

  • Serve as email liaison for Pastor and DOO, as needed.
  • Assist with formal DOO and Pastor written communication.
  • Respond to parishioners on behalf of pastor in conjunction with DOO.
  • Assist DOO & IT with external parish wide calendar development and maintenance

o Develop processes and tools for a Parish Family & individual church calendars.

o Confirm scheduling accuracy and calendar integrity.

  • Update all marketing assets with consistent branding
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.

External Communications

Communicate key decisions and conversations across Parish Family parishioner groups.

  • Collect, organize, and distribute:

o Parish-wide announcements weekly.

o Relevant communications for councils and commissions across the Parish Family.

  • Promote parish events to parishioners, groups and schools.
  • Maintain and update all websites while working towards cohesive web content and design
  • Assist with documentation of communications from public and listening sessions
  • Perform additional tasks, as assigned.

Communication Mediums Development and Management

  • Ownership of weekly bulletin and mass announcements
  • Maintain shared systems and processes for:

o unified bulletins, newsletters, websites, and social media.

  • Ensure consistent Parish Family branding while honoring unique church identities:

o Maintain and oversee logo, branding package, and style guide.

o Support pastoral marketing strategies and coordinate project contributors.

  • Identify, manage and outsource marketing-related services (printers, designers, photographers, etc.)
  • Maintain updated records of communications vendors, platforms, and contractors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Communications Volunteer Management

  • Identify, recruit, train, and manage communications & social media volunteers for both design and

marketing.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

School Marketing and Advancement

  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of marketing and advertising efforts in

support of fundraising, relationships, alumni engagement and enrollment growth.

o Collaborate with Principal in fundraising activities in support of the Annual Capstone

Campaign to grow Annual Fund

o Develop marketing campaigns for increased admissions to grow student base

o Manage school donor database

  • Ensure School website & social channels are consistently branded with parish family and

professionally maintained

  • Design and/or collaborate with graphic designer for consistent school and sports uniform and

apparel

  • Work with DOO, Pastor and Principal to manage physical branding and signage
  • Assist with school communications ensuring alignment with branding. Evaluate communication tool

as needed

  • Develop new products (homeschool class offerings) with Principal and Pastor
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Essential Qualifications

Primary

  • Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church.
  • Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the 5 precepts of the Church.
  • Strong desire to assist with the growth of the Church.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to work under pressure

Experience

  • 2 + years Professional marketing or communication experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing websites and digital communication platforms.
  • Understanding of classical/liberal arts education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Canva, and customer databases management.
  • Able to facilitate meetings among diverse groups.
  • Possess emotional intelligence skills and ability to build trust with pastor, leadership team members

and parishioners.

  • Strong working knowledge or strong willingness to learn, Catholic parish structures and

organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people, including multicultural communities and

  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
