Position Responsibilities
Contributes to andgenerally supportsefforts relating to Amentum’sSafeUp® Program.
Responsible for manifesting, coordinating, reporting, and transportingof all USAP passengers.
Utilizes personnel tracking softwareto manifest passengers on USAP passenger flights.
Coordinates commercial airline and accommodation requests for all redeploying USAP personnel.
Formats and sendsaccurateandtimelyAdvanced Passenger Advisory (APA) andDeparture Messagee-mailsfor all intercontinental and intracontinental flightsvia USAP listserv
Performs passenger check-insand providesloadplanner with passenger summary information.
Updates the ATO Flight Information Channel, Flight Editor, FlightBoardand station intranet asrequired
Communicates via two-way radioin accordance withproper radio etiquette and procedures.
Generates,posts, and updates“bagdrag”andtransport manifests
Safelyoperates10-15 passengervans
Handles confidential matters (e.g.,personnel actions,medevac,management reports,personal travel information,etc.)in accordance withASCpolicy.
Reviews and updates departmental procedures, as needed.
Performs a variety of clerical duties such as typing, word processing, answering phones and filing.
Communicates professionally, both orally and in writing, with participants.
Performs other duties asrequired
Required Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:
High School diploma orGED
Minimum of two years ofcustomerservice andoradministrativeexperience
Expected Skills and Competencies:
Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
Previousexperience in a travel services position.
Physical and/or Other Requirements
Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods
Successful completion of Medical and Dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica
Successful completion of drug screening and background check required by employer
Successful completion of Federal Background Check required by the NSF
Must be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum as required by the position.
Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme cold as required by the position.
Mustparticipatein community programs, such as “house-mouse” (chores), “daisy-picking” (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts & safetyobjectives
Valid Driver’s License issued in the United States
Must be able to obtain andmaintainfacility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship isrequiredfor facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
