About Cancer Council WA

Cancer Council WA is Western Australia’s leading cancer charity, working across every aspect of every cancer. We know that tackling cancer takes all of us. Together, we support families affected by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer. With your help, we’re getting closer to a future without cancer. It’s all of us against cancer.

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, organised and detail-oriented PaSCE Project Officer to join our team. Through our Supportive Care education programs, we build the knowledge, confidence and capability of health professionals to deliver high-quality palliative care.

In this varied role, you'll coordinate education programs, contribute to the development of engaging, evidence-based learning resources, and use data, evaluation and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement. You'll be a collaborative and resourceful team member who thrives on managing competing priorities, building strong relationships and keeping projects on track.

As a key member of a busy and supportive team, you'll enjoy plenty of variety, take initiative and play an important role in delivering meaningful outcomes for health professionals and the communities they support. No two days are the same.

Based in Subiaco, this is a full-time contract position available until 30 June 2027.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate the planning, delivery and ongoing administration of education programs and projects, ensuring activities are delivered effectively and on schedule.
  • Contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of engaging, evidence-based learning resources and educational content.
  • Support program evaluation activities, analyse data and insights, and prepare reports that measure impact and inform future program development.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and supporting successful program outcomes.
  • Provide project and administrative support to the PaSCE team, helping to manage competing priorities and keep multiple initiatives moving forward.

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Experience in health, aged care, community services, education or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or supporting projects, programs, events or similar initiatives.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience collecting, maintaining and analysing data, and presenting findings through clear reports and summaries.
  • Experience supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of education, training or learning programs.
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach to your work.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, diversity and inclusion.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, Cancer Council WA's values and purpose.

Why work for Cancer Council WA?

  • A collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Access to flexible work arrangements and personal leave options to support your wellbeing
  • Access to career growth opportunities, events, and training
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program for personal or work-related circumstances, assistance with career planning, or working through challenging situations

C&K - The Creche and Kindergarten Association

About C&K - The Creche and Kindergarten Association

Established in 1907, C&K is proud to be the largest and longest established provider of community based early childhood education and care services in Queensland.

Our philosophy, where children come first, emphasises the fact that for C&K the interests of children are paramount. Any profits generated from our services are returned to benefit children and the community.

We are committed to providing quality education and care for your child’s pre-schooling years (from birth to school age) in an environment − both inside and outside − that enables children to explore, satisfy their natural curiosity and grow as individuals. Independent research indicates that children who have enjoyed a C&K early learning experience are the most successful in their first years of schooling.

Over the last century hundreds of thousands of Queensland children and parents have become part of the C&K family. As a community based association we recognise the valuable role families and the wider community play in children’s education and care.
