Party Attendants play a key role in making every celebration welcoming, engaging, and memorable. This position is perfect for someone who is personable, friendly, and comfortable working with guests of all ages. Party Attendants not only help set up and tear down event spaces, but they also lead party activities, engage with guests, and bring high energy to every celebration.
From organizing games and running activities to assisting families throughout birthday parties, events, and rentals, Party Attendants help create joyful, interactive experiences. They follow established routines while confidently responding to unexpected needs, ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish.

Anticipated Work Schedule: Our ideal candidate will have consistent Friday evening and weekend availability, along with some flexibility to support scheduled parties and private events.
Party Attendants primarily work Friday evenings and weekends. Typical shifts may include:
- Friday: 6:00–10:00 p.m.
- Saturday daytime: 11:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Saturday evening: 3:30–9:00 p.m. or 6:00–10:00 p.m., depending on the party schedule
- Sunday: 11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 2:30–6:30 p.m.
- Private Events: Additional shifts may be available for private events on Friday evenings and throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays. Shift times vary based on the event and may occasionally extend beyond regular facility hours.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Party Attendant Duties
- Assist Recreation staff in performing daily duties in a variety of rental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, shelter rentals, birthday parties and rentals at the Erie Community Center, the Erie Community Park and the Coal Creek Café
- Set up, tear down of event related equipment required, including but not limited to tables, chairs, tents, trash cans, signage, decorations, photo booth and other event/rental related items
- Responsible for opening/closing specific areas of the Erie Community Center and Coal Creek Café
- Engage with guests, offer assistance, and participate in activities during birthday parties, events, and rentals to ensure a memorable experience
- Maintains work area, facilities, supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Operate Town owned vehicles including but not limited to cars, golf carts, and gators safely and responsibly following established policies and procedures set by the Town
- Ensure the safety of guests and program participants by enforcing all rules and policies with staff and guests and practicing safe food handling procedures
- Provides exceptional guest service to all guests. Responds to information requests, comments, and complaints from the public
- May need to administer first aid, CPR, and other medical attention as needed
- Communicates with Assistant Coordinator, Coordinator and MOD on current projects and work orders
- Completes a variety of paperwork including daily records and logs and incident reports
- Maintains frequent communications with other staff and volunteers within the Community Center and Division. Reports any issues or concerns with inventory, facility conditions, policies and incidents to supervisory staff as needed
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings

- Serve as a professional ambassador of the Town by maintaining a professional image, a team-based collaborative approach, and high ethical standards
- Inspect facilities and program areas to ensure a safe environment. Report safety concerns as needed.
- Interpret, communicate, and enforce all Department, Town, County, State and Federal policies and procedures within areas of program responsibility
- Complete all required safety trainings in a timely manner and ensures staff compliance
- Develop and accomplish goals and objectives to support the Department and Town mission
Other/Miscellaneous
- Perform other related duties as assigned. May aid the Facility Maintenance Department when available

Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- One-year related experience is preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification within three months of employment.
