Job Description

TITLE: Warehouse Clerk

The Warehouse Clerk Position is responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment. Qualified candidates will possess strong organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills while maintaining a high level of detail and quality control.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Rotate and work in the various jobs in the warehouse including but not limited to intermountain, will call, returns, and freight
  • Identify and correct clerical errors and or incorrect labeling prior to shipment
  • Inspect for damage, clean and label all outbound shipments
  • Pallet, secure and wrap automotive parts for shipment
  • Load and unload all freight and or product / cores using equipment or manually
  • Locate and identify stock numbers that coincide with shipping B.O.L.
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly cycle counts and inventory; report any discrepancies to management
  • Recognize potential problems and take action to correct them to ensure consistent customer service and satisfaction
  • Assist all walk-in customers in warehouse and vendors picking up or dropping off deliveries
  • Assist delivery driver with loading daily route and/or preparing orders
  • Reports any discrepancies in orders, delivery, damaged product, and report to manager
  • Maintain professionalism and courteous manner with other team members and customers
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Any other tasks assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work-related experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Inventory Control Software, Connected Business, internet, Microsoft Office Products

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment can be loud.
