Job Description

The Parts Supply and Logistics Analyst position assists in creating a more productive, cost-effective and profitable enterprise by tracking product flow from origin to final delivery and recommend improvements to existing operations. The PS&L Analyst will also be responsible for parts engineering and all other functions related to new model launch.

Responsible for service part inventory:

  • Manage moving & non-moving items to provide action plan & stock level sensibly
  • Review demand of fast/very fast-moving items & advise additional volume for SCM to avoid potential back order
  • To review & limit stock for slow moving or Buy on Demand items
  • To find out root causes for death stock items & action plan to prevent this kind of parts arrival
  • Set up safety stock level and create order lead time, order schedule to control inventory
  • Manage and follow up Parts Supply Process including forecast service parts demands, advise the person who places orders, communicate with suppliers for technical meet and checking schedule for receiving parts from Thailand, USA, Taiwan, UK…
  • To work with supplier & Ford broker to follow up all Air/Sea shipment to make sure shipment arrive on time

Responsible for Supply performance:

  • Do back-order report & review for all parts, keep track with forwarder for part not arrive on time
  • Place order for part of non-affiliate source & local part
  • Keep track the fill rate pcs, fill rate line, BO aging, BO lines
  • Do cycle count
  • Cycle count adjustment

Responsible for damage part and surplus part action:

  • Quarterly review list of damaged part at I200 location to get approval for scrap
  • Yearly review surplus FCSD part list for

Responsible for supplier claim:

  • Do supplier claim for dealer claim parts, part damaged in warehouse, part have technical issue…
  • Do supplier claim for part short ship/damaged when import to PDC

Responsible for cost saving and dealer part supply operation:

  • Cost saving for parts by changing source
  • Follow up & handle part quotation for dealer
  • Provide ETD/ETA for VOR/Hotline/BO part
  • Provide training for dealer if requires

Responsible for Retails Inventory Management (RIM) lite operation:

  • Collect dealer sale history
  • Running the program and provide RIM lite suggestion part list
  • Follow with dealers for the compliance
  • Bachelors' Degree in Supply Chain Management or Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) or Economics, Commerce/Trading, Business Admin or Industrial/Automotive Engineering or equivalent
  • Familiar with logistics and production planning concepts (e.g., just-in-time, materials requirement planning)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; broad range of computer skills— database, spreadsheet, statistics applications, and logistics software packages; understand contracts and tariffs; project management skills
