Job Description

Under the supervision of the Parts Manager, the Internal Parts Specialist knows the workings of the parts department and will do everything possible to offer an efficient service to keep inventories up to date. You will also be responsible for responding to various requests from internal customers.

Schedule:

Training Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (40 hours/week) during training and integration process.

Official Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week) once training and integration process completed.

Main responsibilities:

  • Handle requests for parts from shop technicians; process and prepare the necessary parts for internal shop repairs.
  • Source parts locally required for urgent repairs.
  • Place orders with suppliers in cooperation and under instructions from the parts purchasing department.
  • Process and handle incoming emails.
  • Follow up and track on order parts.
  • File orders.
  • Perform purchase order receipts and restock shelves as required.
  • Perform any and all other related tasks.

Experience and desired skills:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Skilled in a computerized environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial parts is an asset.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Organizational skills and discipline.
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness.
