Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $22.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Purpose:
The Parts Sales Professional supports customers by selling parts, attachments, and related products while helping maintain accurate inventory and efficient parts operations. This role combines customer service, sales support, inventory handling, and order fulfillment responsibilities. The Parts Sales Professional works closely with customers and team members to ensure parts are available, orders are processed accurately, and the department remains organized and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing parts, attachments, and related products that meet their needs.
- Promote products and services while delivering a positive customer experience.
- Process and communicate customer online parts orders through the company’s customer portal.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify inventory received against shipment documentation.
- Stock inventory in designated storage locations and maintain organized inventory areas.
- Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and presentation of merchandise displays.
- Monitor and report inventory shortages, order discrepancies, and urgent customer needs to the appropriate team lead or manager.
- Support the fulfillment of customer orders, including machine-down and stock orders.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts department, warehouse, and work areas.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries and voicemail messages in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with coworkers to support daily department operations and customer service goals.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QualificationsExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and keyboarding.
- Basic knowledge of parts, equipment, machinery, or related products.
- Ability to learn and use parts catalog and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail when processing orders and handling inventory.
- Experience in parts sales, inventory management, agriculture equipment, construction equipment, or a related industry.
- Experience using electronic parts catalog systems, including the John Deere Parts Catalog application.
- Forklift certification.
- Customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic sales and product recommendation skills.
- Inventory organization and stock handling abilities.
- Problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work accurately in a technology-supported environment.
- Ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently move throughout office, retail, and warehouse areas.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
- Ability to visually inspect inventory, parts, and shipment documentation.
- Work is performed in both office and warehouse environments.
- Regular use of computers and inventory management systems.
- Exposure to warehouse conditions, including moving equipment, stored inventory, and varying temperatures.
- Requires adherence to established safety procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
