Job Description

About the Role

Koch Finishing Systems is seeking a Parts & Service Sales Representative to support our plating and anodizing equipment customers from our Caledonia location. This role is an important part of ensuring our customers receive the parts, service, technical support, and responsiveness they need to keep their operations running efficiently.

You’ll serve as a key point of contact for customers, responding to questions about pricing, parts, delivery, technical issues, and service needs. You’ll also develop new business, develop existing customer relationships, and identify opportunities to support customers throughout the life of their equipment.

This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused, organized problem solver who enjoys a combination of sales, technical support, and relationship management. The successful candidate will take ownership of customer needs from the initial inquiry through order completion and ongoing service.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as primary contact for incoming customer calls and emails regarding parts, pricing, delivery, technical assistance, warranty questions, and general customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand business.
  • Follow up on leads from multiple sources and develop new accounts.
  • Prepare work orders, process equipment and parts orders, and coordinate with engineering and other internal teams to keep service projects moving forward.
  • Provide first line troubleshooting assistance and use root-cause problem-solving to help resolve customer issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner vendors to stay informed about products, pricing, availability, and industry trends.
  • Proactively help customers identify and plan for spare parts and replacement needs throughout the life of their equipment.
  • Prepare estimates for service contracts, minor equipment modifications, rework, and upgrades, working with engineering and estimating as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to recommend parts, service, upgrades, and other solutions that provide value to customers.
  • Travel occasionally for customer visits, equipment inspections, project measurements, and other business needs.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, service, purchasing, and other departments to deliver a positive customer experience.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in sales, customer service, material control, industrial equipment, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and provide responsive, solutions-oriented customer service.
  • Strong sales, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and take ownership of customer needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand and communicate technical information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business management/ERP systems.
  • Ability and willingness to learn the technical details of plating and anodizing equipment through hands-on training and collaboration with experienced team members.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis.
  • Industrial equipment, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or technical sales experience is a plus.
  • Second-language proficiency is a plus.

Why Join Koch Finishing Systems?

At Koch Finishing Systems, you’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with customers while developing expertise in specialized industrial equipment and finishing systems. This position offers a blend of sales, customer service, technical problem-solving, and account management, with the support of an experienced team across engineering, service, estimating, and operations.
