Your Role as a Parts Person

As a Parts Person, you will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring technicians have timely access to the parts they need. You’ll be part of a high-performing maintenance team focused on safety, efficiency, and quality. This position will work in a mainly solo environment under remote guidance from the Journeyperson Parts Technician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ordering parts, organizing the site and inventory, and providing direct support to technicians to ensure SOUTHLAND school buses are maintained safely, efficiently, and effectively
  • Supply parts for the ongoing maintenance and repair of buses
  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for parts sourcing
  • Complete all documentation related to parts, inventory, and equipment repairs

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Computer proficiency, including inventory systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
