We’re looking for experienced and motivated Storeperson to join our team in Cairns QLD You will play a key role in supporting warehouse and parts operations by ensuring stock is received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where safety, teamwork and customer service are highly valued.

What you’ll be doing
As a Storeperson at Hastings Deering, you will:

  • Manage parts flow – receive, dispatch, and handle parts and components accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare orders – pick, pack, and process customer and internal orders to meet required timeframes.
  • Operate equipment safely – use forklifts and warehouse equipment in line with licensing and safety requirements.
  • Maintain stock accuracy – carry out stock control activities and regular inventory checks to ensure correct stock levels.
  • Support customers and teams – assist customers and internal stakeholders with parts enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work safely, always – follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

What you’ll need:

A successful teammate will have experience in:

  • Bring relevant experience – previous warehouse or storeperson experience to support efficient daily operations.
  • Be licensed and capable – hold a current forklift licence (highly regarded) to safely operate warehouse equipment.
  • Work with accuracy – demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Be a team player – work effectively within a team environment to achieve shared goals.
  • Communicate clearly – use good communication and computer skills to support smooth warehouse and system operations.
  • Safety minded – committed to maintaining high workplace health and safety standards at all times.
