We are seeking a Parts Journeyperson to help support our client on a 7 x 7 Continuous Shift. This position is responsible for On-Site Parts Coordination warehouse duties, inventory control, and daily communication with the customer’s service team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support on-site customer service operations by ensuring timely, accurate parts availability.
  • Process customer orders: stage, prepare, and track kitted parts for maintenance activities; (picking, packing, receiving, inventory management, and material handling).
  • Process returns, credits, and component core returns with complete documentation.
  • Communicate parts ETAs, shipping options, and freight estimates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Follow up on expedited parts requests from the customer and PSSRs until fully resolved.
  • Execute Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), including bin checks and replenishment. Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations.

Other functions may include but are not limited to:

  • NEP sourcing of CAT and non-CAT parts
  • Procurement of non-CAT parts
  • Managing backordered parts

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson parts certification coupled with previous parts, warehouse, front counter, sales experience and Caterpillar product knowledge
  • Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)
  • Ability to manage difficult or time-sensitive situations professionally.
  • Computer literacy with applicable software knowledge along with shop parts experience
  • Experience with SIS, AIMS, Antares, SIMSi, InfoCast, Lawson M3, Landmark Smart Office, M3 Sales Automation and the MS Office
  • Industry experience in the following areas would be considered strong assets to a successful candidacy: mining, heavy construction and technology products.

Important Details:

  • Position is located on Customer Site in Elkford
  • Must be local to the Elk Valley (or willing to relocate)
  • A condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site Access which may include Drug and Alcohol testing, physical and respirator fit
  • Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
