Jim Pattison Subaru South is looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Parts Driver to join our Parts Department. As a Parts Driver, you'll play an important role in ensuring customers and internal departments receive the right parts accurately and on time. You'll take pride in representing the dealership professionally while maintaining an organized and efficient Parts Department.
Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
This role reports to the Fixed Operations Manager of the dealership.
Day in the Life...
• Organize, load, and safely deliver automotive parts to customers, vendors, and other dealership locations.
• Verify parts and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy before departing.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during every delivery.
• Receive incoming shipments and assist with unloading, unpacking, and stocking inventory.
• Pick, organize, and stage parts for customer pickup and the Service Department.
• Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
• Keep the Parts Department, storage areas, and delivery vehicle clean, organized, and presentable.
• Communicate effectively with Parts Advisors, Service Advisors, technicians, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and safe driving practices.
• Assist with other departmental duties as required.
What We're Looking For...
• Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills are an asset.
• Previous delivery, warehouse, automotive, or dealership experience is considered an asset but is not required.
• This is a physically active position that requires:
◦ Frequent standing, walking, and climbing in and out of the delivery vehicle.
◦ Regular lifting, carrying, and moving automotive parts (up to 50 lbs).
◦ Reaching, bending, and loading/unloading parts deliveries.
◦ Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
◦ Driving throughout the local area while maintaining safe driving practices.
