Responsibilities:
- Greets customers promptly and courteously
- Answers telephone promptly and courteously, doesn’t leave customers on hold.
- Properly identifying parts needed using parts catalog system.
- Keeps customer information up to date in computer system.
- Attempting to make additional sales of part and accessories
- Making certain that the technicians or customers receive the proper part on time as promised.
- Calling customers for pick up of parts if necessary.
- Completing required documents before disbursing parts.
- Run credit card authorizations.
- Record and process special orders.
- Seeing that defective parts are tagged and disposed of properly.
- Collecting and placing warranty parts in bin area as required
- Returning unsold merchandise to stock.
- Checks in parts as received, matches parking list to parts orders.
- Puts away received parts and special orders in proper bins or locations.
- Noting discrepancies between inventory records and shelf stock quantities.
- Keeping general work area clean and safe.
Qualifications
- Parts Counter experience preferred.
- Must be organized in order to maintain and manage inventory.
- Pay strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving, verifying, and recording shipments.
- Be physically able to lift and move objects of varying weights.
- Capable of communicating effectively with department colleagues and suppliers.
- Have familiarity of inventory management systems and willing to learn other software.
- Have an understanding of parts and materials being handled within role.
- Prior experience in parts/warehouse operations preferred.
- Clean driving history.
- Be willing to subject to pre-employment background check and drug screening.
