Sandvik Mining has an opening for a Parts Coordinator in Elko, NV!

Sandvik Mining is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for coordinating parts, inventory, and logistics to support Sandvik Mining service operations. This role ensures timely sourcing, accurate record-keeping, and effective shipment management while maintaining compliance with procurement and safety standards, ultimately minimizing equipment downtime and supporting field and workshop teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process parts requests from service technicians, customers, and internal departments

  • Source, order, and track parts from internal and external suppliers

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to support service operations and reduce downtime

  • Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions in inventory and workshop systems

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments; inspect deliveries for accuracy and damage

  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status

  • Create and maintain parts and component databases related to jobs, rebuilds, and service work

  • Support service teams by identifying, locating, and staging required parts

  • Ensure compliance with Sandvik procurement policies, safety standards, and inventory procedures

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or technical degree preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, parts coordination, or inventory control

  • Proficiency with inventory or ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)

  • Valid driver’s license and government-issued ID
