Parts Backorder Expediter 2

The Parts Backorder Expeditor 2 is a fully independent role responsible for managing sourcing, expediting, and communication for backorders focusing on customer need by date and operational efficiency. Parts Backorder Expeditor 2: Owns backlog, prioritization, and proactive expediting. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Manages full backorder lifecycle proactively expediting parts through multiple channels utilizing OEM and dealer systems and monitoring until completion
  • Manages and prioritizes daily backorder reports and exception queues
  • Tracks shipments and resolves delays, prioritizing based on customer impact
  • Evaluates and executes order type conversions such as MEGA, DOWN, and Emergency from 10-day stock conversions considering inventory availability and alternative sourcing strategies
  • Supports internal and external customer satisfaction through proactive communication with stakeholders coordinating across departments and vendors as necessary
  • Assists with sourcing and tracking parts backorders
  • Assists with expediting urgent requests such as DOWN, MEGA, and Emergency orders
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Knowledge of compact and heavy construction equipment, work tools, and configurations and their applications
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and the ability to quickly learn new software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service and manage conflict in a professional manner
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Strong ownership mindset of assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions

Physical Requirements:

  • The role involves extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional kneeling, crouching, and stooping
  • Ability to occasionally move materials or equipment weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to react to visual, auditory, and other signals and visually inspect work
  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders using both hands and feet

Work Environment:

  • Primarily based in an office setting with controlled environmental conditions
  • Occasional outdoor work, including exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, and humidity
  • Frequently works in a fast-paced setting with unscheduled interruptions
