Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time Parts and Inside Sales Administrator for our Waukegan, IL branch. This role is responsible for securing an assigned amount of profitable business for the company through proper planning, effective sales presentations and through administrations. In addition, lending support to the parts, rental, and service departments. The expected hourly pay range for this role ranges between $22-28/hr based on candidate overall experience.
Responsibilities:
• Greets and assists all parts customers via telephone and in person to complete the sales of parts for all vendor lines available with confidence and complete customer satisfaction.
• Record and places in inventory all incoming parts, units, components and assemblies.
• Secures inside sales orders, makes sales presentations, points out features and benefits of equipment, and emphasizes the advantages of dealing with this company
• Maintains parts records, literature, brochures, lists, catalogs, bin tickets, and price sheets as appropriate and as directed.
• Tactfully helps customers solve problems; identifies proper parts numbers; completes order forms and recommends and sells related items as a service and as requested by customers.
Maintains a high degree of proficiency with regard to the parts business and functions performed in order to instill customer confidence, assurance, and satisfaction with parts services.
• Analyzes stocks, estimates usage and prepares order forms as directed.
• Works with other department personnel in order to assist them with parts information as required.
• Sees that the parts department is maintained in a clean, orderly manner and that the best interest of the company as to safety and security are maintained; reports deficiencies noted.
• Takes advantage of every opportunity made available to him to increase his knowledge through attendance at meetings, seminars and schools.
• Diplomatically handles customers' complaints in a friendly, pleasing and personal manner reports any condition which may need further company attention.
• Sees that promises are maintained and that deliveries are made on schedule, advises customers of any known delays.
• Assist sales, rental, and service departments with looking up and securing the correct parts needed for customer and company owned equipment and property.
• Establishes/maintains personal relations with customers; assists at exhibits, demonstrations, and meetings.
• Keeps familiar with new products and competitors' products.
• Maintains a system for keeping literature, brochures, price sheets, etc., neat and up-to-date; informs customers regarding catalog and price changes; studies financing arrangements.
• Sees that small engine equipment is properly setup, serviced, cleaned, delivered, and that it meets all of the conditions of the sale; takes action to render prompt service in case of any deficiencies.
• Provides back up assistance to the parts and rental departments in a sales capacity. Maintains required communication and cooperates with other company personnel.
• Accurately presents customers with quotations. Verifies all programs offered by the manufactures to present the best option to the customer.
• Maintains a high degree of sales professionalism through study and attendance at meetings and association activities where improvement programs are offered.
• Maintains outside equipment display areas, warehouse, and sales storage areas. Ensures areas are clean, neat, and organized.
• Assists sales manager with order processing and follow up.
• Works closely with the Credit Department regarding the conditions of accounts.
• Processes inbound and outbound parts orders to efficiently fulfill all orders. Picks and packs parts orders for shipment via best alternative.
• Updates showrooms pricing and stocking levels on all parts and accessory items.
• Performs other duties as assigned by parts manager.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
• Must be able to lift 90lbs, 25% of the time, in order to load/unload equipment.
• Must be knowledgeable about the operation of a personal computer, business system, and Microsoft Office.
