Reports to: Director of Brand Marketing
Location: Cottonwood Heights, Utah (Hybrid - 3 days/week in office)
Backcountry is looking to deepen its brand presence through strategic partnerships and media relations, and this role is central to making that happen. As Brand Marketing - Partnerships & PR Specialist, you will execute partnership programs and PR initiatives that drive brand awareness, storytelling, and authentic connection with core outdoor audiences.
In your first 6–12 months, success means establishing a reliable cadence of media outreach and partner activations, building strong relationships with key media contacts and industry partners, and delivering measurable improvements in press coverage and brand visibility.
This is a lean team. You will own a lot, move fast, and make decisions with full end-to-end responsibility.

<li>Existing or developing relationships with media in outdoor, lifestyle, consumer, or related categories.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.</li>
</ul>
