Job Description

Icelandair's airline partnerships, including codeshares, interline and cooperation agreements, extend our market reach and network beyond the routes we fly ourselves and are a growing contributor to the airline's commercial performance. With an expanded partnership portfolio, managing these relationships well is increasingly important to the reach revenue goals and customer expectations.

We are seeking a Partnerships Manager who owns the commercial performance and day-to-day management of Icelandair's airline partnerships. Sitting within Revenue Management & Pricing, the role works across the commercial organization as well as directly with our partner airlines around the world, to make partnerships a proactively managed, data-driven part of Icelandair's commercial engine.

It is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate who aspires to develop into a leadership role, in a position that combines analytical rigor, commercial judgment, and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial performance of Icelandair's airline partnerships, building and running the KPI framework and partner P&L
  • Manage the day-to-day commercial relationships with partner airlines, and act as a defined support and backup to the Head of Airline Partnerships
  • Lead and develop a small team, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity and commercial accountability
  • Support negotiations and new partnership development with analysis, business cases and performance insight
  • Drive partnership technical and customer-experience issues to resolution with the relevant product teams
  • Ensure partnership insight informs commercial decision-making across the business, and represent partnerships in the relevant forums

Qualifications and Experience

  • A university degree fit for purpose, e.g. in business, economics, engineering or a related discipline
  • Airline or travel industry experience is a strong advantage, particularly in commercial related disciplines
  • Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, able to build a business case from data and present it clearly to stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities
  • Leadership potential and the ambition to grow into broader responsibility over time
  • Ability to take initiative, lead projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
