You & your job

As Partnerships Lead, you are responsible for building and scaling the partnership ecosystem that accelerates customer growth for the next generation of banking. You identify, negotiate and activate strategic, commercial and proposition partnerships that create unique customer value, unlock new acquisition channels and strengthen Rabobank’s position among customers aged 18-30.

You drive strategic partnerships and ensure that growth moves beyond promise to become tangible and evident.

You will functionally steer and lead the team of business development managers, and you report into the Head of Growth.

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Define and execute the partnerships strategy. Develop a clear partnership vision, spanning co-branded bundles, media-play and performance-based deals, that supports our growth ambitions in 18-30. You identify opportunities for distribution, proposition, loyalty and rewards partnerships that create competitive differentiation and customer value.
  • Build and scale high-impact partnerships. You lead the partnership lifecycle from opportunity identification and negotiation to implementation and optimisation. You create win-win collaborations that unlock new growth channels and strengthen market positioning.
  • Drive measurable growth through partnerships. You own the value and revenue generated through partnerships, ensuring partnerships contribute to acquisition, engagement, activation and retention targets. You use data and experimentation to continuously improve partnership performance and allocate investments where impact is highest.

Responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Own the strategic partnerships roadmap on cobranding and media play.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial, distribution, proposition and ecosystem partners.
  • You identify partnership opportunities that support customer acquisition, engagement and loyalty.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and partnership agreements.
  • Cross-discipline collaboration with Growth, Engagement, Product, Design and Data teams to launch partnership proposition rapidly and continuously monitor traction.
  • Ensure partnerships comply with risk, legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Functionally steer and coach your partnerships team with 2 Business Development Managers and create focus within the team.

Your & your talent

  • 8+ years of experience in ecosystem strategy, partnerships, business development, with proven P&L experience.
  • Experience building senior stakeholder relationships internally and externally, negotiating with Dutch and European partners, both media performance-based deals and cobranded bundles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Data-driven and comfortable working in a performance-oriented growth environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with bias for action, experimentation and delivery.
  • Able to operate in ambiguity and a fast-paced scale-up environment.
  • Passion for creating innovative propositions for the next generation of customers.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Financial economics or equivalent capability built through experience.
