As a Partnerships Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing strategic partnerships across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), with a primary focus on messaging providers, aggregators, CPaaS companies, and other key ecosystem players. Your mission is to strengthen existing partnerships, identify new growth opportunities, and drive revenue through commercial expansion, strategic collaboration, and long-term relationship management.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, acting as both a trusted advisor and business advocate while coordinating cross-functional teams across Viber to deliver exceptional partner experiences and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Partner Management & Growth:
- Own and manage a portfolio of strategic partners across the CEE region, ensuring strong engagement, retention, and sustainable revenue growth.
- Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within partner organizations.
- Develop a deep understanding of each partner’s business model, go-to-market strategy, customer base, and growth objectives.
- Identify and execute opportunities for traffic growth, new use cases, product adoption, and commercial expansion.
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with partners to align on objectives and growth initiatives.
- Monitor partner performance, messaging traffic, and commercial KPIs to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Drive partner activation and adoption of Viber Business Messages, including new products, capabilities, and market initiatives.
Business growth & Market Expansion:
- Support the identification, onboarding, and development of new strategic partners across the region.
- Leverage existing market relationships and industry knowledge to strengthen Viber’s position within the messaging ecosystem.
- Actively monitor market developments, competitor activity, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities within the CEE messaging landscape.
- Represent partner needs internally and advocate for enhancements that improve the overall partner experience.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence across the Partnerships organization.
Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership:
- Maintain a strong understanding of the messaging ecosystem, including CPaaS providers, mobile operators, aggregators, and enterprise messaging trends.
- Stay current on developments across SMS, RCS, Viber Business Messages, WhatsApp, and other OTT communication channels.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the CEE messaging landscape, helping Viber identify emerging opportunities and strengthen its competitive positioning.
- Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and onboarding initiatives within the broader team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in partnership management, account management within the telecommunications, messaging, CPaaS, or digital communications industry.
- Strong network and familiarity with key messaging ecosystem players across Central and Eastern Europe.
- Proven track record of managing strategic partnerships and consistently delivering revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of A2P messaging, SMS aggregation, CPaaS business models, and enterprise messaging ecosystems.
- Knowledge of conversational channels and customer engagement technologies, including SMS, RCS, Viber, WhatsApp, Voice, Email, and related OTT platforms.
- Commercially driven with strong ownership of revenue, margin, retention, and growth metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both external partners and internal teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and experience managing forecasts, business reviews, and growth plans.
- Fluent in English; additional CEE language(s) are considered an advantage.
- Based in Croatia and comfortable working and travel across diverse markets and cultures throughout the CEE region.
